Geeta College of Education, Butana, was established in the year 2007 as an affiliated college located in Sonepat, Haryana. The campus sprawls over 5.4 acres and imparts co-education with the esteemed goal of shaping future teachers. It is approved by the NCTE, New Delhi, and offers a course in B.Ed. in teacher training. The college provides a focused learning environment for the aspiring teacher with an enrolment of 193 students in all and a faculty strength of 12.
The institution has a whole range of facilities, all of which enhance the educational experience of the students. Not only is the library a hub of knowledge, but it is also equipped with an array of educational materials, books related to general knowledge, fiction in both English and Hindi, and various magazines and newspapers. It has an open shelf system, and hence the staff and students can access the resources easily. The departmental laboratories on the campus are providing hands-on experience to the students. There is a canteen that caters refreshments for the staff and students and a health center with first aid facilities to take care of basic medical needs. The IT infrastructure is also excellent and integral to modern education. The institution has many sports facilities available for all students for their physical well-being. Then there is a guest house and a waiting room for visiting faculty and the family members of students as a gesture of hospitality.
Geeta College of Education offers only one course: the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Program. This is a two-year, full-time course with an approved intake of students numbering 100. The B.Ed program aims at enhancing students' abilities to work as efficient and effective teaching professionals by enabling them with pedagogical skills and up-to-date knowledge.

The admission to all programs in Geeta College of Education is merit-based and in accordance with the policy formulated by the State Government, U.T Administration, and affiliated University from time to time. Admissions are done based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. The college may use other selection processes as per the prevailing policies.
