The Geeta Institute of Law also known as GIL Panipat was established in 1992. GIL Panipat has been approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and is affiliated with Kurukshetra University. Geeta Institute of Law offers full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of law. GIL Panipat courses are BA LLB Hons, BBA LLB Hons, LLB and LLM. Admissions to GIL Panipat are based on the last qualifying merit of the applicants.

The Geeta Institute of Law, Panipat mandates applicants with less than 60% scores, to appear in the college entrance examination called GLAT. The Geeta Institute of Law placement cell conducts soft skills and personality development workshops to help students improve their communication skills and build confidence. GIL Panipat Placement provides both internship and placement opportunities to its students. Geeta Institute of Law facilities provide a comfortable learning environment for students. Some of the GIL Panipat facilities are separate hostels for boys and girls, well-equipped classrooms, a library, classrooms, a gym, a cafeteria, a moot court, an auditorium, and a computer lab.
