GM Institute of Technology, Davanagere (GMIT Davanagere) was established in 2001 and is part of the GM Group of Institutions. GMIT Davanagere is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The list of GMIT courses include a mix of diploma, UG and PG programmes. GM Institute of Technology offers multiple diplomas in engineering programmes, B.E programmes and an MBA programme.
Aspiring candidates must make sure they fulfill the GMIT Davanagere eligibility criteria before applying to the institute. The admission process of diploma programmes is merit-based. GMIT Davanagere admissions for the BE programmes are done through a centralised counselling process conducted by Karnataka Examinations authority based on KCET and COMEDK UGET scores. GMIT Davanagere facilities include spacious classrooms, auditorium, laboratories, separate hostels for boys and girls, and sports facilities. The GMIT placements are handled by the training and placement department of the institute which provides placement assistance, conducts recruitment drives and provides training and counselling to students.
