Government Degree College, Falaknuma, is one of the new colleges that was established in 2007 and the college is situated in Hyderabad, Telangana. This affiliated college has over the years gained recognition in the region that offers wide range of undergraduate courses. The current enrolment  on students is 963 while the numbers of faculty members are 23 hence, the student teacher ratio is ideal for student care and course delivery. The institution provide six undergraduate courses in three degree programmes thereby providing a variety of academic fields of interest and career opportunities for its students. For achieving the noble goal of education, in both English as well as Urdu medium, GDC Falaknuma opens its doors of higher education for a larger section of society.

GMC Falaknuma has also provided different facilities which can be of great benefit to the students learning process. The library of this institution is adequately equipped with 986 textbooks, 144 reference books, and 7 magazine, peculiarly selected to help students prepare for competitive examinations. Physical education and cultural activities are also given importance in the institution. For this purpose, the college has formally and informally provided different practical solutions for different indoor and outdoor games, sports, fun activities, and yoga classes and cultural and other co-curricular events.

About six full time under graduate programmes are taught in the Government Degree College, Falaknuma. These include B.Com Computer Application in English and Urdu, BA, B.Sc Physical Science, B.Sc Life Science in English and Urdu mediums. This diverse range of programmes makes sure that the students can select diverse courses of their choice. The college’s current total student intake is 963, and this shows its expansion and ability to admit many more aspirant graduates in the region.
