Government Girls College was established in the year 1994 at Ajmer, Rajathan and is on of the leading girls colleges in Rajasthan. Situated opposite RTDC Khadim in Civil Lines, it is an affiliated college, which occupies an area of 2.37 acres. To uphold the quality of the education provision it has been accredited from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). At present, the college has 3102 students and 38 faculties The college covers 15 courses under 5 degrees to help students in different strand they choose to take.

The college has a number of amenities meant for improving the learning environement and the general personality of the learners. At the core of these services is the college library where the College is registered under a National Library and Information Science Tool (NLIST). This digital venture has an excellent collection of around 6000 e-journals and 97,000 e-books for students enabling them to have best of the resources for research and academic learning. If the students are in need of a place to stay, then the college has a girls hostels which provides 135 seats to accommodate out-station students safely. Currently, four functional laboratories in the Science departments have been provided, accompanied by two computer laboratories to address the increasing importance of IT in today world. For the students ‘physical health and recreation the college offers sporting amenities such as sports grounds and a gymnasium. Having an auditorium helps to organize events and seminars that are encouraging an active student life. Also it plays an important role of a cafeteria where for both staff and students they provide refreshment points.
