Government Polytechnic Mumbai, established in 1960, holds a prominent position as one of the most venerable and esteemed institutions in both the Mumbai region and the state of Maharashtra. Notably, it attained academic autonomy in 1994. Additionally, the institute has undertaken numerous significant projects, including the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program Phase II, the Canada India Industry Institute Linkage Project, and the World Bank Assisted Project. Government Polytechnic Mumbai is situated in Kherwadi, Bandra (East), conveniently positioned adjacent to the Western Express Highway and across from the Government Colony Bandra. The institute can be reached with ease, as it is just a 10-minute walk from the eastern side of Bandra Station. Western and Harbour railway lines have direct access to the Bandra station while central railway travelers need to change from Dadar to Bandra. Road connectivity is also available from Sion or Kurla.
