Government Post Graduate College, Seema better known as GPGC Seema was established in the year 1988. Being an affiliated college established in Tehsil Rohru, Shimla, the college has been providing the required educational needs for more than three decades. This college is affiliated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which speaks for quality educational system. The school is located across the spacious campus of 9.5 acres providing a proper environment for prolific learning and development.

The college arranges for 34 courses within 11 official degree programs of study, across a wide range of disciplines. The total enrolment of students here is 1900 and there are 34 members in faculty, which keeps very good student-teacher ratio that can provide individual care. Besides, GPGC Seema has developed a wide network of affiliations and partnerships to offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs namely B.Com, B.Sc, BA, MA and BCA,  GPGC, PGDCA. Seema boasts of abreast infra facilities to ensure the students optimize their experiences while in school. 

The college posses an up-to-date and spacious library accommodated in a new building with 8000 plus books including text books and reference books. It also offers e-Book/e-Journal facility through INFLIBNET so that the students are update with the latest development in their respective courses. They work with an efficiently equipped computer laboratory with broadband connection to enable students to interface with the digital world while in the college. 

For sports lovers, it has state of art facilities to boast about with a name as GPGC Seema. There are soccer grounds and other areas where sports like volleyball, kabbadi, and those playing on the fields where cricket etc are conducted, while other games like badminton, table tennis, boxing tours extensively taking place in the indoor facilities. The college teams in all fields often compete in inter- college /University competitions and successes are achieved by the institution. Newly constructed Barr волшебная колыбель auditorium can accommodate up to 1,000 students and is used for academic, cultural and theatre performances all year round.

Admissions for the GPGC Seema follows a policy where all the steps involved are clear and students can understand easily. Namely, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are available, although some of the courses are offered with a limited number of places. The college also offers hostels to its students; the boys’ hostels has a potential of 105 students while that of the female students also has a similar capacity.
