The Government Tool Room and Training Centre, Koppal (GTTC Koppal) is quite a young university, it was founded in 2021. This Government run Institute is situated in Koppal, Karnataka and offers technical education in specialisation streams. GTTC Koppal is accredited to offer technical education by the All India Council for Technical Education offering standards in the country. The institute has two diploma courses, mechatronics and tool manufacturing with an enrolment of one hundred and twenty students per year.
GTTC Koppal fulfills it responsibility of ensuring that students are accorded a favorable learning atmosphere. A number of important amenities are possessed by the institute that contributes in students learning process. It has very good IT facilities underpinning the students use of relevant modern technology desired in learning. Functioning as a facility of academic study, the college library is an institution that provides a lot of assistance in academic studies and research-related work. Departmental laboratories afford opportunities for practice with theory and its application inside and outside classrooms.
The institute at present has two full time diploma courses which take three years to complete. These are the Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering and the Diploma in Tool and Die Making. Each course also has an approved intake of 60 students and the attractive total of 120 student seats per year.
