Located in Kolkata, West Bengal, the Gurudas College was established in the year 1956 and is one of the premier institutions. Gurudas College admits students based on their merits so that meritorious students can study their preferred courses. Admission is generally made based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations at the undergraduate level, that is, 10+2 or its equivalent. The college invites admission according to norms prescribed by the affiliating university. In the case of postgraduate courses, like MA in Bengali, admission will be made based on the merit list prepared from the applications received.
