The GVR and S College of Engineering and Technology, Guntur popularly known as GVR&S Guntur is one of the most talked-about academic institutions in the city of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. This affiliated college was established in the year 2007. The institution has grown with the motto of shaping young minds for the past decade. The college is built over 10.8 acres offering various streams in engineering and management. The Institute is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, thus assuring one of quality education and adherence to national standards. It has an enrolment of 1,159 students and a total number of 133 faculty members to accord ample opportunities for personal attention and academic growth.
Facilities within the institute are diverse and attempt to aid learning and the all-round development of learners. The library forms part of the academic resources in GVR&S Guntur, with more than 4,000 volumes of books and subscription to a host of e-journals, making it a fledged repository of knowledge. Digital library section can accommodate 20 students at a time, satisfying all needs for research or online learning. GVR&S Guntur offers three regular courses at two different levels of degree with highly divergent careers.Specializations in the B. Tech program are Computer Science and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The MBA program completes the other offerings at the postgraduate level. All courses are full-time and provide intensive learning to the students. The total sanctioned intake for all programs has been kept at 240 students. This simply depicts how much dedicatedness the institution is to quality education and at the same time to its student body.

The admission process followed at GVR&S, Guntur is transparent and merit-based. Admission to the B.Tech program is divided into two categories. Category – A: The seats are filled through Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) conducted by State Government. Category-B (30% of total seats): will be filled by the management in a transparent process advertised in newspapers. Admission to the MBA course will be based on the merit secured in the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test. The college accepts scores for some programs from the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test. These tests therefore allow meritorious candidates throughout the state to standardize in nature and seek higher education at GVR&S Guntur. The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the B.Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
1 . 70 % of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
2 . 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management Quota candidates.
3 . In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in second year of B.Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
