Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang, widely known as IGIT Sarang was established in 1982 by the Government of Odisha under the name of Odisha College of Engineering (OCE). The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela (BPUT Rourkela).
The courses offered by Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang are diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels including Diploma, B.Tech, B.Arch, MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc and Ph.D.
The admissions for B.Tech programmes are done based on valid JEE Main or OJEE scores at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang.
