Established in the year 2009, Indraprastha Institute of Technology, or IPIT is at JP Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. It is 115 kilometers from Delhi on Delhi-Moradabad Road and has a spread campus area of 12 acres. IPIT provides different engineering stream courses and has a student enrolment of 74. The number of faculties is not mentioned at present, but it can be assumed that the number of students is so few that the course can be conducted with an intensive learning environment. IPIT offers seven different courses: five B.Tech courses and two diploma courses. These streams of courses include computer science, mechanical, electronics and communication, civil, and automobile Engineering.

Almost all facilities to make easy the college life of the students are there in Indraprastha Institute of Technology. Separate hostels for boys and girls make comfortable the living conditions of boarders. Much attention is paid at IPIT to the health of the students, for which a well-maintained medical facility exists in the campus with permanent and visiting doctors who look after regular and emergency cases. So the institute's library is well-stocked with the latest editions of engineering books, journals, and magazines, so an ideal atmosphere prevails there for study and research. Moreover, it provides very modern, state-of-the-art computer labs equipped with TFT monitors, dual-core processors, and high-speed internet connectivity for research and development work.

The academic programmes offered by IPIT are very diversified and primarily consist of undergraduate engineering programmes. It offers five regular B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Automobile Engineering. IPIT also offers two diploma courses in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

The admissions for IPIT are through entrance examination, and the Institute looks for admitting students who have the aptitude and a flair for any of the above-engineering streams. This is known to accept the B. Pharma examination that is held as a part of the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test.
