Institute of Advanced Study in Education, Thrissur (IASE Thrissur) was established in 1945. It is one of the oldest teacher training institutes in the country. The institute conducts advanced teacher training courses and also undertakes training programmes for secondary and higher secondary teachers. The college is affiliated to University of Calicut. The list of IASE Thrissur courses include B.Ed, M.Ed and PhD programmes. IASE Thrissur admissions are conducted on the basis of the merit in the qualifying examinations as per the norms and guidelines issued by the university.

IASE Thrissur is located at Chembukkavu area in the city of Thrissur in Kerala. The institute is located on a 3 acre campus in the heart of Thrissur. It is located at a distance of 3 Km from the Thrissur railway station. The college can easily be reached by buses and auto rickshaws plying in the city.
