IITM, Sonipat was established in the year 2010 as an affiliated college in Murthal, Sonipat, Haryana. IITM Sonepat provides different courses of Engineering, Management, and Vocational Studies on a spread of 13 acres of area. The institute is approved by AICTE and has 476 students on its rolls in 18 courses and 6 degree programs.
IITM Sonepat does provide all the facilities that can upgrade the learning experience for its students. Separate hostels have been there for boys and girls; mess facilities are available in both, and each one has been provided with common rooms as well. The Learning Resource Centre boasts of more than 20,000 books, 30 printed journals, and a large number of online resources for encouraging the culture of research and exploration. It has various athletic facilities for sports enthusiasts and encourages participation in inter-college and university competitions. The IT infrastructure is pretty strong, with multiple centers provided by the college with internet access and updated software. Students can also avail of facilities for a cafeteria on campus, transport facilities covering routes in Sonepat and Delhi NCR, and a well-maintained auditorium for academics and other cultural events.
This range of courses provided here includes all interests in academics and career too. The IITM Sonepat contains an 18-course academic portfolio in terms of Bachelors, Masters, Diploma, and Vocational.

The admission at IITM Sonepat is merit-based and all-inclusive. For B. Tech programs, the admission shall be based on the scores of the Joint Entrance Examination Main or JEE Main according to national norms for admission to the engineering programs in such institutes.
