Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar College, abbreviated as ICV College, is a recognised college situated at Belonia, south Tripura. One of the affiliated colleges which was founded in 1964 has been equipping generations of learner with higher education for five and half decades. Favoured by a 33 Acre Campus, ICV College boasts of being accredited by NAAC and thus implicitly vouches for the quality of education. The college offers a diverse range of 19 courses across 6 degree programmes, catering to a student body of 4,482, with a gender ratio of approximately 3:2 in favor of male students. As it currently has a faculty of 30 members all of who are dedicated teachers, ICV College seeks to enable direct interaction with the students.
Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar College has improved on provision of facilities that would complement the students learning, teaching and general growth. The central library, a storehouse of knowledge, contains more than 42000 books and 320 journals in 35 titles including an e-journal collection. For the technology enthusiasts, the college provides three computer laboratories that are fitted with 56 computers and two have the Internet connection. These labs include classroom and office labs, science stream practical labs for students, and research labs for academics and professors.
Currently, ICV College is providing civil course, which include 19 course in the total academic programmes, offering full-time programmes. The courses are offered across the three broad disciplines of Arts, Commerce, and Science. In the Arts stream the students can follow honour classes in Bengali, economics, education, English, Geography, history, philosophy, political science and sanskrit etc. Commerce stream has B.Com, Science stream has honors in Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Physiology and Zoology. Moreover, the college provides general BA, and BA Hons., B.Com, and B.Sc Hons.
