JR Polytechnic College, Alandur was started in the year 2010 is a self financing College located at Trichy at Tamil Nadu. This is an AICTE recognised institution providing diploma course in various fields of engineering. Situated in a campus of 5.35 acres, it has 189 students enrolment and 27 faculty members at present. It offers three three-year diploma programmes solely on Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Based on experience, the college has provided an indication of its technical nature in terms of specialisation and infrastructure.
The college comprises various facilities that can facilitate the education of its students in improved ways. It located in the center of learning resources, currently owns 1050 titles and 5650 volumes, and has the seating of 150. This large area of the school affords students great chances for research and study time. There are also play grounds indoor and outdoor that known and unknown games, providing the right environment for friendly competition among students. IT facilities at the college have been described as first-rate, which provides students with state of art gadgets for learning purposes. Departmental wise, there are Automobile Lab, Civil Lab, Electrical & Electronics Lab, Electronics & Communications Lab, and Mechanical Lab etc. These ones ensure practical experience which is so vital in technical learning. The college also has a special hall for occasions like seminars and so on and a special canteen primarily for the students and staff.
The engineering diploma programs offered by JR Polytechnic College are in a select niche.
