JSPM's Bhivarabai Sawant Institute of Technology and Research for Women, Satara is a reputed academic institute in Wagholi, Pune that has recognition in the year 2009. It is an affiliated women's institute with AICTE approval. The enrolment of the institute is 1810 in total at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and the faculty strength is 124 in number. The campus atmosphere at Gat No. 720/2, Nagar Road, Wagholi, Pune 412207, is fully conducive for technical education and research.
The institute has enough and modern facilities to further the learning experience and all-round development of the students. The college has two fully equipped and well-ventilated girl hostels with Hostel A and B, accommodating the stay of 585 students as outstation students. A complete library, being the hub of knowledge within the institution, exposes students to a wide variety of academic resources. A fully functional on-campus ICICI ATM takes care of the monetary convenience and facility for both students and staff members. The institute also provides transport facilities, with its buses covering major areas of Pune, thus facilitating the travel for students of different corners of the city. There are two spacious canteens and mess facilities available that provide hygienic and healthy food at reasonable rates. A fully functional dispensary is provided on campus, and periodic medical checkups and campaigns for the students and staff members are organized.
The JSPM Bhivarabai Sawant Institute of Technology and Research for Women has been sanctioned for four full-time B.Tech courses. Courses under the said program include B. Tech in Computer Engineering-II Shift, B. Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering-II Shift, B. Tech in Computer Engineering Lateral Entry, and B. Tech in Electrical Engineering Lateral Entry. All these courses will orient the students towards making a strong base in their respective fields, with the aim to enable them for sound careers in fast-changing technological fields. For an optimum student–faculty ratio for adequate learning, a total intake of 240 students in all courses would suit the most.
