Located in Kaliganj, Nadia district of West Bengal, Kaliganj Government College was founded in 2015. This affiliated college imparts a number of undergraduate programs across various disciplines. Situated on a compact 5-acre campus, the college has been steadily growing its academic offerings and infrastructure. With a total enrolment of 522 students and a faculty strength of 21, this college provides a focused learning environment.
Several facilities exist in the college to enhance the learning experience of its students. The library is on the ground floor with 1,916 books. It has a well-spaced and arranged reading room for studying and researching students. The college conducts an Annual Sports Meet on the grounds, which develops a spirit of athleticism and healthy competition amongst its students. The institution believes in technological advancement and provides excellent IT infrastructure to back modern methods of learning. The departmental laboratories are well-equipped, benefiting the students of science disciplines. Two virtual classrooms have also been made operational from the last session. A canteen in the campus premises keeps the staff and students satiated regarding their culinary needs. There is also a seminar room where academic discussions and invited lectures are held, enriching intellectual discourse outside the classrooms.
Kaliganj Government College offers a total of 10 undergraduate courses, all of which are full-time programs. The college offers a fusion of general and honours courses in both Arts and Science streams.

- A candidate may be admitted to the first semester of a four-year (Eight Semester) UG-Courses of Studies on passing the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in general conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination conducted by another State Board/ Council, or The W.B. Council of Rabindra Open Schooling, or The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by the Distant Education Bureau (DEB).
- In the case of other Boards/Councils, a candidate shall have to pass five recognized subjects, of which one shall be English, of full marks not being less than 100 each. A candidate passing in less than five subjects shall not be eligible for admission.
- Candidates passing the Higher Secondary examination in Vocational stream conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development (WBSCTVE & SD) or any other equivalent.
- A student who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination held by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent Examination from other Boards / Councils with at least four subjects including English as Compulsory Subject of 100 marks is eligible to take admission to the VG-Courses of studies based on merit and available vacancy of the particular subject(s) of the concerned college.
BA English Major
