Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering was established in the year 1994, in Karjat. Located in a lush green area at Karjat, a town in Maharashtra, this affiliated college sprawls over 19.32 acres. KGCE, Karjat, has been accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE—speaking much about the commitment towards quality education. The institute offers a wide range of engineering courses with an enrolment of 962 students and a faculty strength of 56. KGCE Karjat provides six specialized B.Tech programs catering to various branches of engineering and emerging technologies.
This college has many facilities to enrich the learning experience of students and for the development of the college students. The library is the hub of academic resources. It covers an area of 813.72 square meters with more than 32,000 books, various national and international journals, a digital library with 17 nodes, and a well-maintained reading hall with an intake capacity of 150 students. It has separate hostels for boys and girls with an intake capacity of 60 students each for those staying on the campus. The hostels provide a clean, hygienic, and comfortable living environment. It provides a gym and sports facilities to support physical fitness and recreation. The institute has an auditorium on campus for conducting academic and extracurricular events.
KGCE Karjat offers six full-time B.Tech courses, each of four years. All in all, this makes up programs in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. These courses have a total sanctioned intake of 360 students per year, and most programs are available with an intake of 60 each. This wide variety exposes the student to many options where he can pursue traditional engineering fields as well as cutting-edge technologies, preparing him for a plethora of careers in the fast-changing technology landscape.

The admission procedure in KGCE, Karjat, is based on merit, with major emphasis on marks obtained in two major entrance examinations: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET).
