KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore often abbreviated as KPRIET Coimbatore was established in 2009. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) have accredited the KPRIET Coimbatore and it is also recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The institute is also affiliated with Anna University, Chennai.
KPRIET Coimbatore offers courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels with about 12 B.E/B.Tech courses, 4 M.E courses and 10 Ph.D courses. The duration of the said courses varies from 2 years to 6 years and the KPRIET fees structure for these courses ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 1,10,000.
The entrance exams accepted for KPRIET Coimbatore admissions by the institute are TNEA for UG admissions and after that the TNEA counselling round takes place, and GATE and TANCET for KPRIET PG admissions followed by TANCA counselling round, and lastly a written test conducted by Anna University for KPRIET Coimbatore doctoral admissions.
Based on the data of NIRF 2024, in the placements drive of 2023 more than 700 students were placed and Rs 54,00,000 lakhs per annum was the highest salary package offered. KPRIET Coimbatore infrastructure contains all the amenities such as academic and research facilities, hostel blocks, sports complex, and other KPRIET facilities provided by the institution.
