It is one of the affiliated colleges in West Bengal, located in the scenic town of Kurseong, District Darjeeling. The college offering a varied and multilevel programmes in diverse disciplines within a campus of 9.04 acres. With a total enrolment of 738 students and having a faculty strength of 39, Kurseong College has constantly made its optimum efforts in providing a gateway of excellence for the students.
Kurseong College has various facilities to enrich the learning experience of students, of which the most important is the library. It is housed in a separate three-storied building on the campus and contains over 22,000 books with 4,500 print journals. The college also subscribes to an online database containing in excess of 90,000 e-books and 6,500 e-journals which meet the academic requirements of students, teachers, and other staff. Here, in the college campus, the department is well equipped with laboratories for practical learning, a canteen for refreshment, and sports to promote physical well-being. For female students, the college campus is equipped with a girls' hostel that accommodates 24 boarders. This offers a very safe and comfortable living for female students from very far locations.
There are varied and comprehensive academic offerings of Kurseong College. The full-time programs included, in total, are 16 in number. These are undergraduate honors degrees in English, Nepali, History, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, and Accountancy. The college also provides general BA, B.Com, and B.Sc courses on the undergraduate level, while postgraduate studies are available for Nepali.
