Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering, established in 1994, is one of the premier institutes for learning in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. AICTE has approved this affiliated college which happens to be one of the niche institutes in the engineering education sector. This compact college is built on a mere 2.8 acres of land with 1,947 enrolled students, offering a wide variety of courses in the engineering field. It has a faculty strength of 85 dedicated individuals, therefore the student-to-teacher ratio is feasible. LTCE participated in the NAAC accreditation exercise, which reflects the commitment of the institution towards quality in its academic and institutional practices.

The institution offers support through state-of-the-art learning facilities. The library occupies an area of 5,700 square feet and serves as an excellent knowledge hub with its books, e-resources, and multimedia packages. There exist well-equipped, ultramodern department-based laboratories that ensure hands-on practical experience for all students. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, which provides internet access for various academic pursuits. LTCE offers comprehensive engineering programs, with 12 courses at 3 different degree levels. The latest areas in which full-time undergraduate BE programs are offered include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, Internet of Things and Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. At the postgraduate level, the institute offers ME programs in Manufacturing Systems Engineering. The college also offers PhD courses in Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering for the research-oriented mind. 

The admission procedure is based on the rules and regulations framed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. The institute accepts scores of various renowned national and state-level entrance tests, which include the Joint Entrance Examination, popularly known as JEE Main, and Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, popularly known as MHT CET, for admission to undergraduate courses. In the case of postgraduate courses, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores shall be taken. Admission procedures like this make things very fair and totally based on merit.
