The college organised an International Conference On Widespread Innovation For Next Generation Systems (WINGS) on April 22-23, 2024.
Mahaguru Institute of Technology, Mavelikara was established in 2009. It was formerly known as SVNCE. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Engineering & Architecture stream. Mahaguru Institute of Technology Mavelikara courses include B.Tech and M.Tech in full-time mode. Mahaguru Institute of Technology Mavelikara admissions are based on candidates' performance in the KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical) examination.
The college has a lush green campus with world-class infrastructural facilities. MIT Kattachira facilities consist of a library, transportation, computer centre, cafeteria, book store, health club, yoga centre and more. Mahaguru Institute of Technology Mavelikara placement activities are managed by its training and placement cell. The college provides various scholarships to students to fund their studies. The institute is affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. MIT Kattachira is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and accredited by NAAC with a B+.
