Maharishi Dayanand College of Education came into existence in 2005. Situated in Abohar, Punjab, India, it is one of the most popular institutions that focus on the training of teachers. This is a co-educational institution recognised by Panjab University and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE. Located opposite BSF College on Hanumangarh Road, the college offers two professional programmes in education. An aggregate of 290 students are admitted each year to the institute, which has a teaching staff of 20 educators. Maharishi Dayanand College of Education offers two courses, both being full-time courses in teacher education. The B.Ed. programme has 100 seats and the D.El.Ed. programme has 50 seats. Because of their purpose, both programmes are intended to help students gain the acquaintance needed in their future career as teachers.

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in sciences/social sciences/humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
D.El.Ed
Candidates with At least 50% marks in the Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission.
