MERI – Management Education and Research Institute was set up in 1994 at Janakpuri, New Delhi. Being a constituent of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, MERI provides a number of under graduate & post graduate programmes in Management, Computer Applications, Journalism & Commerce. It occupies only 1 acre of land and has always been known for providing quality education, NAAC certified and approved with the AICTE. MERI total enrolment is 733 students and there are equal numbers of male and female student 56% and 44% respectively. It teaches 9 courses in 6 degree programmes; it is staffed with 23 dedicated faculty members.
Management Education and Research Institute Delhi has various provisions aimed at easing student facility provision experiences. The campus has provided air conditioned and non air conditioned hostel facilities separately for boys and girls to ensure nominal comfort. The institute boasts a sitting capacity of more than one thousand students it possesses more than 20000 books and subscribes to more than 1500 national and international journals and business magazines. As the technology center of the school, MERI is equipped with modern computer systems, good software and internet connectivity for technology lovers. There is an auditorium with modern facility of audiovisual aids for lectures, seminars and other students’ activities on the campus. Other facilities include sporting courts and facilities, a gym, a canteen, a health centre with first aid services.
At present, MERI Delhi has nine courses at the under graduate and post graduate levels which are all full time. The programme offered by the institute are MBA, MCA, BBA, BA in Journalism and Mass Communication shift 2 and B.Com (Hons.) etc.
MERI Delhi has a unique admission process based on the type of programme in the institution. For MBA programmes the students have to compete in national level entrance tests like CAT, CMAT or Common Entrance Test namely conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

BA Journalism and Mass Communication
Pass in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or functional) as a subject.

Pass in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or functional) as a subject.
B.Com Hons
50% in aggregate in 10+2 examination / senior school certificate examination of C.B.S.E . as minimum marks for admission to B.Com with a pass in five subjects (One language and four elective subjects) or an examination recognized as equivalent to that.
(i) Pre-University Examination (Two years after ten years of schooling) of an Indian school/college.
OR
Intermediate Examination of an Indian University / Board or an Examination recognized as equivalent to that (Pass in Five written subjects)
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years) conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi (Pass in Five written subjects).
(iii) Examination of a foreign University / Board which is recognized as equivalent to 10+2 CBSE examination/or Indian university.
BCA
Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with a pass in English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or (Computer Science / Informatics Practice / Computer Applications / Multimedia & Web Technology / Data Management Application / Web Application as compulsory subject of non-vocational stream with 50 theory and 50 practical ratio).
OR
Three-year Diploma in a branch of Engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
BCA II Shift
Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with a pass in English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or (Computer Science / Informatics Practice / Computer Applications / Multimedia & Web Technology / Data Management Application / Web Application as compulsory subject of non-vocational stream with 50 theory and 50 practical ratio).

The aggregate of 50% marks in the 12th class for the purpose of eligibility will be taken as the aggregate of the best four subjects (unless otherwise specified) including English and compulsory subject(s) if any.
