Being an affiliated college, Maulana Azad Muslim Teacher Training College, Jodhpur, was established in the year 2006 and is dedicated specifically in teacher education. Sited in Kamla Nehru Nagar, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, this school was co-educational and is recognised by NCTE, National Council for Teacher Education. The college offers two full-time courses, the B.Ed & D.El. Ed programmes with 415 total intakes.
Various facilities at Maulana Azad Muslim Teacher Training College support learning among the college students. A well endowed library has paid up memberships of over 10,111 books of different fields of study comprising of 2,453 titles of books, 857 references and face capacity of the reading room is 100. Maulana Azad Muslim Teacher Training College teaches two programmes in teacher education. The B.Ed course has a total of 200 seats and the Diploma in Elementary Education which is D.El.Ed has 50 seats. They are both full time courses with an expected time of 2 years. The total approved intake for all courses in the institute is 415 total enrolment as well. Such focused approach is beneficial in that it enables the college to develop and sustain appropriate atmosphere relevant to the training of teachers.

The Maulana Azad Muslim Teacher Training College follows merit as its admission policy this will require the marks which the candidates obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The admission policy of the college is based on the standard set by the State Government of Rajasthan and the University to which it is affiliated. For B.ED programme, admission is granted according to the marks obtained in qualifying examination or through a selection procedure in terms of state government norms. The State Govt./UT administration also rule the admission procedure of D.El.Ed through merit in the qualifying examination or through an entrance examination etc.

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the bachelor's Degree and master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanity, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification, equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
D.El.Ed
Candidates with at least 50% marks in the higher secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission.
