Mother Theresa Postgraduate and Research Institute of Health Sciences (MTIHS) was established in 1991 as a post-graduate and research institute of health sciences. This affiliated college occupies an area of 2 acres and has received accreditation from NAAC along with other prestigious body approvals such as AICTE, PCI, and INC. MTIHS offers a full range of 26 courses under 8 degree programmes, taking a total number of students up to 856. With a faculty strength of 60, the institute will ensure an advantageous ratio between students and teachers that ensures easier learning.

B.Sc Nursing
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
- Minimum education:
- 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
- Student shall be medically fit.
- Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
- Student shall be admitted once in a year.
M.Sc Community Health Nursing
The candidate should be a registered nurse and registerd midwirte or equivalent with any state nursing registration council. Minimum educational qualilfilcationa shall be B.sc nursing / B.sc hons. Nursing/Post basic B.sc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks. [50% for SC/ST]. The candidate should have undergone in B.sc nursing/post basic b.sc. nursing on full time (regular stream; not distance mode) in an institution which is recognized by the indian nursing council. Minimum one year of work experience after basic B.sc nursing as on last date of application submission (The experience wil be calculated from the date registered with the state nursing council).minimum one year of work experience prior of after post basic b.sc nursing, as on last date of application submission (The experience will be calculated from the date registered with state nursing council).
B.Pharma
The candidate seeking admission to the B.Pharm. Degree course must have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/Central Government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of indian Universities (AIU) with english as one of the subjects and physics, chemistry, mathematics (P.C.M.)and or Biology (P.C.B./P.C.M.B.)as optional subjects individually. any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of india as equivalent to any of the above examination Vocational and open school not eligible.
B.Pharma Lateral Entry
Minimum educational qualification shall be a pass in Diploma in pharmacy council of india under section 12 of pharmacy Act., with minimum 500 hours of hospital training and registered in any state pharmacy council. passed the higher secondary or an equivalent (10+2) examination in Academic stream with physics, chemistry and biology/Botany and zoology/mathematics/computer science (Vocational stream, bharat sevak samaj and open schooling are not eligible). the upper age limit is 50 years as on 30-12-2023 the institute must be recognized by BOME, puducherrkly/Ponicherry University.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutics
A pass in the following examinations:
a) B.pharm. Degree examination of an indian university established by law in india from an institution approved by pharmacy council of india and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years of B.pharm.)
b) Every student, selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institution should have obtained registration with the state pharmacy council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Chemistry
A pass in the following examinations:
a) B.pharm. Degree examination of an indian university established by law in india from an institution approved by pharmacy council of india and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years of B.pharm.)
