Naini Agricultural Institute, Allahabad, is a premier constituent college under the realm of agricultural education and research established in the year 1910. The institute is located in Naini, Uttar Pradesh, and offers a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across several agricultural disciplines. The institute has 34 faculty members, imparting good education to students in 21 courses at 2 degree levels. Naini Agricultural Institute is highly specialised in various branches of agronomy, horticulture, and animal husbandry, applications of which are greatly required in human resources for agricultural education.
The infrastructure in the institute is top-notch, capable of ensuring the all-round grooming of students. The facility of residential hostels is available for both boys and girls. A well-stocked library serves the students as the centre of knowledge with thousands of text and reference books and research publications in a vast spectrum of Agricultural and other Allied Sciences. The entire campus is Wi-Fi facilitated; hence, students can be connected to any required online resource without facing trouble in connectivity. For the ease of healthcare, the building also accommodates a medical centre that is in the association of highly experienced medical professionals of different specialities.
The undergraduate programmes are 3, and the postgraduate programmes are 18; all these courses are full-time courses. The intake under this program is the highest, with 300 seats, clearly showing that the institute is core agricultural educational-biased in its intention. Other undergraduate programmes include B.Sc. Horticulture (Hons.), with an intake of 120, and B.Sc. Animal Husbandry and Dairying (Hons.), with an intake of 60. The postgraduate programmes have a diversified nature under M.Sc., with a wide array of identification features. There are programs, usually with 40-60 students apiece, in which there can be targeted research and advanced studies conducted in different agricultural domains.
