Narayan Nursing College was established in the year 2012 at Jamuhar, Rohtas, Bihar as an affiliated college. The co-ed institution offers different programs in nursing to aspiring health professionals. Old GT Road, Jamuhar, is the location of this institution with a faculty strength of 21 members, which ensures proper attention to students.
The institution has well-equipped facilities to support the academic and personal growth of students. In addition, among its facilities is a well-appointed state-of-the-art centrally air-conditioned auditorium with a sitting capacity of 250 to host educational programs and cultural activities. The campus has seven spacious, well-ventilated classrooms with blackboards and public address systems. Every department has its laboratories fully equipped for practical training. The library spread over an area of 2500 square meters has more than 3500 books, 25 national and international journals, e-library facilities, and internet facilities.
Narayan Nursing College offers four major courses: M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Nursing, GNM - General Nursing and Midwifery, and Post Basic Diploma in Emergency and Disaster Nursing. - 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However, Science is preferable.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM. course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing council.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.
- Registered ANM with pass mark.
Post Basic Diploma in Emergency and Disaster Nursing
Diploma / Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution with one year clinical experience from the date of registration with Nursing Council.
Post Basic Diploma in Neonatal Nursing
Diploma / Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution with one year clinical experience from the date of registration with Nursing Council.
Post Basic Diploma in Critical Care Nursing
Diploma / Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution with one year clinical experience from the date of registration with Nursing Council.
B.Sc Nursing
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
- Minimum education:
- 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 50% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
- Student shall be medically fit.
- Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 50% marks.
M.Sc Community Health Nursing
Pass in B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with 55% of Marks from a recognized University + One-year work experience after any State Nursing Council registration.
