Based in Chandigarh, India, the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, aka NITTTR, was established in 1967. It has been more than five decades that NITTTR, Chandigarh, has been functioning with commitments to technical education and teacher training for skilled professionals. The Institute sprawls over 19.03 acres and currently offers 23 different courses at 2 different degree levels with a total enrolment of 221 students. This institute offers all courses from post-graduation to doctoral in the field of engineering and technical education. The admission process to NITTTR, Chandigarh, is strictly based on merit, thus, only the most eligible candidates would get admitted. For most of the ME programmes, a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score is necessary. The candidates who are GATE-qualified may receive scholarships under the rules framed by AICTE.
