According to Bar Council of India (BCI) Rules, a candidate opting for admission to the Five Year Course must have:
- Passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination securing in aggregate not below 45% of the total marks in the case of general category applicants and 40% of the total marks in the case of SC and ST applicants.
- Age of admission is limited to 20 (twenty) years in case of general category applicants and to 22 (twenty-two) years in case of applicants from SC, ST, and other Backward communities on 1st January of the year of admission.
