Om Kothari Institute of Teacher Training currently offers two full-time courses: The minimum academic qualification requirement for service is the possession of the basic professional qualification in education embodied in the two categories of qualification namely: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Both of the programs last for 2 years, and equip future educators with a solid set of knowledge. The B.Ed program is offered by the college for teaching at the secondary and higher secondary level, D.El.Ed is for primary teaching level students. These courses are intended to give the students the skills, knowledge and practice they need in order to practice in the teaching field. Of the above programs, the institute offers a total of 191 students, achieving a small and selective environment in the learning process, making it easier for them to have contacts with students and faculty members.

Admission to Om Kothari Institute of Teacher Training is carried out on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination and or entranse examinations. Admissions to the B.Ed programme are made according to the rules and regulation set by the state government, UT administration and the university the college is affiliated with is. Likewise in the case with D.El.Ed admissions, this also follows the pattern set by state government norms.
