Onkar College of Pharmacy is situated at Sangrur, Punjab, India and was founded in 2005 as an affiliated college. Onkar College of Pharmacy currently offers one primary course: It is a full-time programme and is spread over two years; it has an approved intake capacity of 60 students. In particular, D.Pharma is a course that gives the students a basic understanding of the entire spectrum of pharmaceutical sciences to prepare them for jobs in the multi-faceted world of pharmacy. The college centres on this diploma programme; nonetheless, it shows its concern in delivering quality in pharmacy education.
Admission at Onkar College of Pharmacy is direct and based on the percentage of marks of Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics of the qualifying examination. For the reserved seats, the relative merit is computed within this reservation type. It also provides admission under sports category as per the policy made by the sports department government of Punjab/Ut. D.Pharma
i) The minimum educational qualification for admission to the diploma course in Pharmacy course will be to pass any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics:
- Intermediate examination in Science.
- The first year of the three-year degree course in science.
- 10+2 examination (academic stream) in science.
- Pre-degree examination
- Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
Note: As per the decision of the PCI: candidates who have passed 10+2 from National/State Open Schools are also eligible for admission to a diploma in Pharmacy.
