Pollachi, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu based PACET or the PA College of Engineering and Technology is an engineering college set up in 2008. This institution recognized by the AICTE provides a wide selection of engineering courses on 50 sections of the acres area. PACET has a total student enrolment of 1,236 and has a faculty of 120 which are the right parameters for academic environment. The institute has more male students than female students; the male students represent 65% of the undergraduate students while the female represent 35%. PACET has about 11 programmes, spread across two degree levels and that focus on different aspects of engineering.
Academic wise the college is well endowed with modern facilities in order to ensure students optimize their capabilities.. The available library covers 4,940 Sq ft and is equipped with modern Automated Library System and contains in excess of 11,400 volumes of books put in within the various Engineering disciplines. It also posses 118 national and international journals, 35 magazines and a digital library containing e-books and other allied e-materials. PACET Boys Hostel Accommodation consists of separate men’s Hostel in addition to adequate and comfortable hostels for ladies, spacious well-furnished rooms and Quality nutritious meals. Here most of the facilities which are related to the modern education institutions are available with health centre, gymnasium, different sports playing fields and court, and canteen.
PACET is an academic institution famous for providing numerous engineering courses; though the institution offers graduate programmes, most of their programmes fall under the undergraduate category. The institute offers 7 BE and 2 ME BBA, BCA courses. The details of the programmes are as follows: All offered courses are day programmes, and the BE programmes take four years, while the ME programs take two years. The current approved uptake by the institute for all courses is 1236 students.

For under graduate courses, PACET originally used the Common Employment Entrance Test and Admission but has recently switched to the CEETA-PG for postgraduate programmes. PACET keeps a close link with industries through its vibrant Alumni Association which was formed in 2012. Besides nurturing personal relationships, it also strengthens placements, and enables guest lectures, industrial visits, and seminars. This is evident regarding the college efforts towards the all-rounded development of the students in various culture and sport activities.
