An affiliated college, namely PA Polytechnic College, was set up in the year 2006 and situated in Pollachi, Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. The institute, which is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, offers diploma courses in different disciplines of engineering. PA Polytechnic College, located on an area of 5 acres, has a total enrolment of 1197 students and has 74 faculty members. The college offers six diploma courses in various fields of study, all of which are contact-based programmes. Being a technical institute, the main goal is to effectively create skilled students who will excel individuals in the engineering sector of the economy.
Through facilities, the college provides many more resources to learners to improve their learning opportunities. The campus includes boys’ and girls’ hostels, with a 24/7 power and water supply and hygienic food services. For academic interest, a well-stacked library with a spacious reading hall is there with a number of text and reference books of different disciplines available for learning. It also offers journals, magazines, and other particularly related databases for the use of participants. Physically, any active sportsperson can take advantage of the college, as it has a 400-meter athletic track, a cricket playing field, a basketball court, and many more facilities for indoor as well as outdoor games. The college also has updated computer facilities, an adequate practical laboratory, and a training & placement division to care for the careers of its students.
Six diploma courses are offered at PA Polytechnic College and they are all three-year full-time programmes. The courses are Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Auto Mobile, Electrical and Electronics, Computer, and Civil. It has a total of 480 students’ intake approved for all its courses offered in the institute. The diploma programmes include some of the most important engineering specialities, meeting various interests and needs of the industry.
