Parul Institute of Architecture and Research was established in 2012 under Parul University, Vadodara. The institute spread over 150 acres, rising to become one of the prime institutions in the region for architectural education. It has the approval of Council of Architecture, New Delhi. With a total student enrolment of 354 students and a faculty strength of 76,  Parul Institute of Architecture and Research offers a diverse choice of programs in architecture and design. The institute strongly believes in quality education, which is reflected by its 6 courses under 5 degree programs offered in the multiple specialisations available within the field of architecture and design.

Parul Institute of Architecture and Research has very impressive facilities designed to enhance the learning experience for its students. The institute has well-furnished laboratories, a state-of-the-art library with more than 24,000 books and access to more than thousands of e-journals, and modern IT infrastructure with a fiber optics network. Other facilities include spacious classrooms, design studios, modern IT infrastructure with a fibre optics network, and a 600 sqm auditorium with a seating capacity of 420. Sports facilities, such as cricket grounds, basketball and volleyball, and a swimming pool, are also available on the campus. For health and fitness, there is a state-of-the-art gym spanning an area of 5000 square feet, with qualified trainers and a dietitian. The institute offers courses in Architecture and Design at all levels. The academic portfolio of PIAR consists of 6 full-time programs: B.Arch, M.Plan, Diploma in Architecture, B.Des in Building and Infrastructure, M.Des in Building and Infrastructure, and M.Des in Interior Design. Since the flagship program is B.Arch, with the approved intake of 180, it clearly brings out the focus of the institute toward architectural education. Though intake numbers for other courses are not available, total student enrollment is 354, indicating balanced distribution across various programs. This course offering students to explore different type of architecture and design, from its primary knowledge to specialised skills in planning, interior design, and infrastructure development.
