Established in 1956, Post Graduate Government College for Girls or PGGCG 11 was founded to provide high-quality education to women in higher education. Affiliated with Panjab University, the college has been accredited with Grade 'A' by NAAC. Currently, the college offers degree and diploma courses in various fields such as Arts and Humanities, Languages, Commerce, Computer Application, and Sciences.

PGGCG Chandigarh provides education at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. PGGCG offers general and honours degree programmes in different specialisations, all of which are offered full-time.
