Pragya Art and Commerce College, Katangi is an affiliated college which was set up in year 2000 at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. This institution located in a 2.5 acre of land provides different form of education with four programme offerings. This college being certified by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) & has a total enrolment of 275 student intake & is staffed by 25 committed teachers. Pragya Art and Commerce College is imparting education in a field of arts and commerce providing bachelors and master degree to meet the different requirements.

Pragya Art and Commerce College , therefore, provides various learning facilities that improve learning to its students. Pragya Art and Commerce College has in its gamut four full time courses and they are available for both under graduate and post graduate level. The approved course to be taught include B.Ed, M.Ed, BA, B.Com, and others. For the B.Ed programme the total approved intake is one hundred general seats. It is a college eager to deliver quality education in these courses to enable student to pursue different careers in the education arts and commerce fields.

The admission procedure in Pragya Art and Commerce College is different for every course offered. The B.Ed programme admits candidates based on merit which is determined from marks scored in the qualifying examination and /or entrance examination. The college also follows any other process adopted for selection in accordance with the policy of the state government, UT administration and the University. Likewise, for the M.Ed programme, based on the merit in marks obtained from the qualifying examination, entrance examination or any other criteria announced by the competent authorities admission is done. But admission criteria must be merit based.
