Prime College of Architecture and Planning (PCAP), was set up in the year 2011 at Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu. This institution is a co-educational college affiliated to the council of architecture as per the qualification. Located in a 3.61 acre plot of land, As PCAP only has one accredited degree, the subject is architecture. It has a total student enrolment capacity of 301 and is staffed by 21 faculty members The college provide education to all communities. We ferreted out that PCAP remains dedicated to architectural training reflected in the focus of its curricula and well-equipped facilities.
Prime College of Architecture and Planning consists of a number of feature facilities that enrich the learning process of students in the college. Both male and females student are separated in hostels and quality accomodation and balanced diet is facilitated. It has a well stocked library stocked with important books for students to aid their learning activities. The college also provides a computer laboratory with internet amenity and a broadband connection within the college. In as much as health concerns the physical aspect, PCAP provides amenities for this working through the provision of gym and facilities for indoor and outdoor sports games. Student welfare is also accorded a premium status through provision of a college medical centre that offers first aid services. Other services include a hall for banquets and conferences, a cafeteria and a spacious parking lot.
PCAP has only one programme available - the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch). This is a first degree, full time course that has been approved to recruit 80 students per cohort every year for 5 years. The programme of B.Arch in PCAP includes a broad concept of architectural knowledge and technological skills to help the students to be a great architect of future. The fact that there is only one programme that is offered at this college ensures that there is adequate resource and time put in architecture education.

Prime College of Architecture and Planning admit students through national level entrance examination held in the country. Admission into the college is done using scores from the Joint Entrance Examination Main and the National Aptitude Test in Architecture. In these organisations prospective students must pass any one of these examinations as a condition for admission. Most of these national examinations are held during PCAP academic year. Based on the fact that education in architecture is one of the major programmes offered by the college, the college has an admission policy that strives to enrol the most intelligent and passionate students in architecture.

Candidates seeking admission to the first semester of the ten-semester B.Arch Degree Program Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examinations of (10+2) Curriculum (Academic Stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as three of the four subjects of study under Part-III with at least 50 percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and also at least 50 percent marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or any examination of any other University or authority accepted by the Syndicate of Anna University as equivalent thereto.
