Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College and Hospital, Chamba, founded in 2016, is considered as a new medical facility situated in the area of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. This affiliated college is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and it has risen fast to the ranks of the important college for medical education in the region. The college has total enrolment as 320 and faculty of 82 providing the best ambience to the future medical professionals. Its focused approach bears evidence to the institution’s commitment to quality education. At present, the institution offers only one programme, the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

MBBS and BDS admission process in India is followed as per the NEET-UG scores and this college is also follow the same process for students admission. This national-level examination is the only criterion for issuing admission and eliminates favouritism while recruitment.
