RGMP was set up in 1992, and it is a self-financing technical college in Bangalore, Karnataka. The affiliated college located in Kengunte Circle, Mallathahalli, has been nurturing future engineers for more than three decades now. The government-approved course, RGMP, is in line with AICTE, which is the All India Council for Technical Education. The institute currently has fifty-five diploma programmes across the engineering spectrum and the total enrolment for the programmes is 545. Currently, 55 professors at RGMP ensure that the school provides an outstanding student-teacher ratio to encourage effective learning.
Facilities on the campus of Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Polytechnic are well developed apart from providing excellent academic programmes comprehensively for the students’ development. Facilities: The college has a rich library facility, which makes students aware of many things in relation to knowledge. GTK has departmental laboratories whereby students get practical experience in solving real-life problems using their knowledge.
Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Polytechnic is currently providing six courses in all, each being full-time diploma courses and taking a total of three years to complete. The courses are Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Civil, Computer, Apparel Design and Fabrics. Several of these courses are spread across the spectrum of the different engineering specialisations and, as such, cater for different students’ leanings towards and career goals.
