Raos College of Pharmacy, Venkatachalam came into existence in the year 2004 and is located at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. It is a co-educational college affiliated and recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) for offering graduate courses in pharmaceutical science. The college has 542 students with a faculty strength of 55 in the 6-acre campus. The Raos College of Pharmacy offers 10 courses and 4 degree programmes catering to the diverse requirements of pharmaceutical sciences. The commitment of the institution is exemplified in its infrastructure and curriculum, updated frequently, suit the needs and directions of pharmacy industry.
Raos College of Pharmacy provides several facilities to develop the students' academic and personal growth. The library is an important learning resource because it contains several collections of books, national and international journals, in addition to internet access and reprography services. A digital section is available to students with access to online journals and international periodicals. Computer labs are also equipped within the state-of-the-art campus with a 24-hour internet facility. With nine well-equipped laboratories including high-tech facilities and advanced equipment, one of the features of the institution is a pharmacy block, which is maintained by dedicated and trained staff. Separate hostel facility for boys and girls thus, students feel at home. The accommodation is neat, clean, comfortable, safe with Wi-Fi, solar water heaters, and attached bathrooms.
Raos College of Pharmacy offers Pharmaceutical courses at various levels of study. Besides, there are 10 full time courses, which include undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctoral programmes under its umbrella. The flag ship programme is B.Pharma with an approved intake of 100 seats while D.Pharma has 60 seats. Other courses include M. Pharm with specialisations in Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmacy Practice. Under its entity, the college offers two prolific programmes, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate, providing students with diverse options to pursue their pharmaceutical career goals.
