Rayagada Autonomous College, Rayagada, was established in the year 1966, is one amongst the leading and largest autonomous colleges in the state of Odisha, India. Registered on a 4.08 acre land, the college is providing 35 courses through 10 degree programmes with a total of 3097 students. This institution is celebrated for its quality learning provision and this has been demonstrated by it being accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). At present, there are 15 members in the faculty at Rayagada Autonomous College, all of whom have the main purpose of making sure that the students are provided with adequate learning facilities.
Rayagada Autonomous College has provided several infrastructures that are aimed to boost the studies of the learners. It contains more than 36,000 text and reference books, that make the library an important resource for students and teachers. football, volleyball, tennis and cricket facilities are excellent for the college’s sports lovers, more students always participates in intra-college, inter-college and inter-university competitions. The institution also has separate hostels for boys and girls which are furnished with basic necessities such as the college has a common room where students can enjoy television set. In addition, the college boasts of a commodity laboratory, an auditorium to facilitate events and seminars and a canteen to feed its staffs and students.
It is concerned for having a huge range of undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in Rayagada Autonomous College. The colleges offers a total of 35 colleges. The course available are B.Sc honours in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and in Botany and Zoology, B.A with honours in History, Economics , Political Science, English, Odia, Hindi and Telugu. At postgraduate level, the college offers Master of Arts programmes in History, Economics, English and Political Science and Master of science programmes in Chemistry, Animal Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Plant Science. It also provides other programmes like the self financing B.Sc programme in Information Technology, B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication, and B.B.A, B.C.A and M.Sc Computer Science etc.

A student must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
B.Sc
A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with science stream or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.
B.Sc Physics Hons
A candidate passed in higher secondary examination (10+2) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as major subjects in science stream from any recognized board.
B.Sc Mathematics Hons
A candidate passed in higher secondary examination (10+2) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as major subjects in science stream from any recognized board.
B.Sc Botany Hons
