Royal College of Education Mandsaur was started in year 2009 in Bhensoda Mandi, Mandsaur District of Madhya Pradesh is affiliated to Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, Bhopal. It is affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and provides specialised education courses. Currently, the college occupies a two acre area and it in total has 177 students and ten faculties. Royal College of Education currently offers two full-time degree programmes: B. Ed & D. El. Ed, courses with a total of a student capacity of 150 students. The institute, as the part of its mandate, ensures preparation of professional teachers to teach in various schools.
Royal College of Education has assembled several infrastructures to supplement students’ learning and other growth needs. A library is well stocked with over 4000 books, both Text and Reference books,periodicals with a seating capacity for 50 students. The campus has a separate hostel for boys as well as girls to provide comfortable staying facility to the out-station students. Cricket, football, volley-ball and basket ball enthusiastic can make use of the wide playground and field along with basketball hard courts. The college also has two computer laboratories each with forty computers to help learners update themselves with the technological developments. Extra facilities include a cafeteria, a hall for functions and conferences, science laboratories, a medical office with an infirmary, a sports room and means of transport both for the learners and the instructors.
The Royal College of Education, Mandsaur has total of two regular courses in the stream of Education. The B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) programme is proposed to take 100 students a year while the D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) to take 50 students a year. Both of the programme intents are to provide teaching education to students in order for them to become teachers.
Royal College of Education, Mandsaur follows the policy of merit for its admission process, the marks that they have secured in the qualifying or entrance examination. The admission policy of the college is in accordance with the state government of Madhya Pradesh alongside the affiliated university. For admission to B.Ed programme, candidates are usually expected to possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline received with minimum percentage as prescribed by Distance Mode Regulation.
