Rural Dental College, Loni, established in the year 1989 is one of the premier institutions in Maharashtra. It is a constituent college of many dental programs for dental professionals who are aspiring. Six hundred seventy and 1115 students are accommodated in the two hostels allotted for boys and girls on the campus. All the multiple hostels of the college are fully equipped with modern facilities with an uninterrupted power supply. First aid facility is provided at the Rural Dental College in the case of health hazards. Students can keep themselves physically fit and active in the gym, which is filled with all the necessary modern amenities. The college library is a repository of knowledge with more than 11,836 books and is provided with 151 journals subscription annually. Varied dental courses are given at Rural Dental College that comprises undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college of dentistry offers 9 full-time courses, comprising a program in Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a few of the specialty courses in Master of Dental Surgery. The total approved intake for all courses is 122 seats. This includes that the flagship BDS program is designed to intake 100 students while the MDS programs, in turn, provide specialized training in Orthodontics, Periodontology, Conservative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Oral Surgery, Pediatric Dentistry, Oral Medicine, and Oral Pathology.

Admission is through merit at Rural Dental College and is in a systematic manner. The under graduation and post graduation admission depends on the performance of the students in NEET. This is an exam conducted once a year, which aspirants need to pass for further admission. Candidates applying for MDS need to appear for NEET MDS.
