RVS College of Engineering and Technology popularly known as RVSCET was set up in 2004 is one of the pioneer engineering colleges located in the city of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. This affiliated college, recognised by All India Council for Technical Education AICTE), New Delhi, stands as the hub of numerous engineering and technologies. Of a total area of 40 acres, RVSCET offers total student enrolment of 941 and the number of faculty members is 112. The college offers 10 courses in four academic levels namely B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and Diploma courses for engineering and computer applications disciplines.
RVSCET focuses in offering modern infrastructure in educational needs to improve the students facilities. Our college also has a generously built library of 7500 sq ft with provision of seating up to 100 users. It provides a rich store of Technical and other types of publications for students, academics, research scholars and others with periodicals, Journals, Magazines, Books Technical and non – Technical E- Resources including DELNET facility. Computer laboratories which are well equipped facilities of the institute include seven laboratory with over 520 latest Models of personal computers enable the students to do their enrichment and never let them short of places of practising what they learn.
The institute provides a 13 programmes to meet the demand of different subjects. Here there are 5 B.Tech programmes, 1 M.Tech programme, 1 MCA programme and 3 Diploma programmes. The B.Tech programmes are offered in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. At postgraduate levels, there are Master of Technology in Computer Science and master of computer applications(MCA) in the college. Also offered at RVSCET are Diploma courses in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Admission policy of RVSCET is drawn in a manageable way so as to identify and grant deserving candidates admission through different channels. For B.Tech programmes, the college admits the candidates who have passed through a Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination (JEECE), known as JEECE. M.Tech admission for postgraduates include valid GATE percentile scores, merit list regarding B.Tech percentages and interviews. The college also awards credits for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for relevant programmes.
