School of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT Kerala) is a public college established in the year 1978. The institute is a constituent college of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi. It is also known as the School of Engineering CUSAT. As per the official website of the college, School of Engineering CUSAT's mission is to provide quality education in engineering disciplines.
The School of Engineering CUSAT Kochi offers 29 courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The School of Engineering CUSAT Kerala conducts CUSAT CAT and Department Admission Test (DAT) for admission to B.Tech and M.Tech. Part-Time programmes respectively. GATE scores are accepted for admission in CUSAT Kochi to M.Tech. full-time courses.
The students of the School of Engineering CUSAT Kerala are offered placement and internship opportunities by the placement cell. The CUSAT Kerala offers scholarships to the deserving students based on their merits, academic performance and for some specific criteria. B.Tech Civil Engineering
The minimum eligibility for SEBC candidates to be considered under reservation quota (belonging to Kerala State) for admission to B. Tech is 45% for Mathematics and 45% for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together in the qualifying examination. Of the total seats for B.Tech. (Self-financing) 50% are free seats, 40% payment and 10% are NRI payment seats.
B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering

B.Tech Safety and Fire Engineering
The minimum eligibility for SEBC candidates to be considered under reservation quota (belonging to Kerala State) for admission to B. Tech is 45% for Mathematics and 45% for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together in the qualifying examination. Of the total seats for B.Tech. (Self-financing) 50% are free seats, 40% payment and 10% are NRI payment seats.
M.Tech Process Engineering Part Time
a) Should have passed B.Tech/B.ScEngg. Degree Examination in the respective branch with a minimum of 50% marks.
b) Candidates who have passed sections A and B examinations in respective/allied branches conducted by Institution of Engineer’s (India), Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers and Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers are also eligible for admission if they have an Engineering Diploma or a basic degree in Science.
c) Should have a minimum of 2 years experience in the concerned field after acquiring qualifying degree. This may be relaxed if sufficient number of candidates with the minimum prescribed experience is not available.
d) Open seats will be allotted on the basis of the score in Departmental Admission Test, marks obtained in the qualifying examination and experience.
B.Tech Marine Engineering
The minimum eligibility for SEBC candidates to be considered under reservation quota (belonging to Kerala State) for admission to B. Tech is 45% for Mathematics and 45% for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together in the qualifying examination. Of the total seats for B.Tech. (Self-financing) 50% are free seats, 40% payment and 10% are NRI payment seats.
M.Tech Construction Engineering and Management Part Time
a) Should have passed B.Tech/B.ScEngg. Degree Examination in the respective branch with a minimum of 50% marks.
