Ph.D Law
The minimum eligibility of candidates intending to pursue a doctoral program is a pass with a minimum of 55% in the postgraduate programme in the discipline/specialization. Students who have completed their post-graduation from an international university must submit an equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Every candidate has to take the PhD Entrance Examination and Interview to be held on June 13, 2021, or any other date announced by the office of admissions. However, as per the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degrees) Regulations, 2016 (#5.1), those who qualify UGC- NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SLET / GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil Programme shall be exempted from the PhD Entrance Examination. Those candidates take a Research Skill Assessment Test along with their Personal Interview.
LLM Constitutional and Administrative Law
- Candidates who have passed Undergraduate degree LLB (3 or 5 year courses) with a minimum aggregate of 50% and above, from any recognised University in India or abroad recognised by UGC / AIU, are eligible to apply.
- Students appearing for their final degree examinations in March-May 2021 are also eligible to apply (Applicants who are in the last year of their studies in LLB (3 or 5 year courses) should have secured 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted so far).
LLM Corporate and Commercial Law
- Candidates who have passed Undergraduate degree LLB (3 or 5 year courses) with a minimum aggregate of 50% and above, from any recognised University in India or abroad recognised by UGC / AIU, are eligible to apply.
- Students appearing for their final degree examinations in March-May 2021 are also eligible to apply (Applicants who are in the last year of their studies in LLB (3 or 5 year courses) should have secured 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted so far).
LLM Intellectual Property and Trade Law
- Candidates who have passed Undergraduate degree LLB (3 or 5 year courses) with a minimum aggregate of 50% and above, from any recognised University in India or abroad recognised by UGC / AIU, are eligible to apply.

Basic eligibility for the programme is a pass at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) in any stream with minimum of 45% (Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management, Sciences) from any recognised Board in India.
Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2021 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
