The School of Humanities and Social Science comes under the esteemed GD Goenka University, Gurugram, Haryana. Its campus is located in G.D. Goenka Education City, Sohna-Gurgaon Road, Gurgram. Currently, the School of Humanities and Social Science offers two full-time courses, both in the field of psychology. At the undergraduate level, there are courses like a BA (Hons) in Psychology, while at the postgraduate level, students can go for a two-year MA in Counselling Psychology. Courses in both are designed to equip students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in their respective fields.

The admission process at the School of Humanities and Social Science has been designed to be all-inclusive and merit-based. In the case of the BA Psychology Hons course, applicants will apply on a prescribed application form, which will be checked for basic eligibility, academic performance, and suitability of course option chosen. Eligible candidates are issued admit cards for the Goenkan Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA). The entrance examination takes place in designated centres on a date that will have been previously communicated to the applicants. The applications, which are either couriered or posted, must be available in the admission office at least 10 days before the GATA is administered. Even as this is the case, the school also accepts scores attained by the candidates in the Common University Entrance Test for admissions, hence giving them an optional route.
