Shija Academy of nursing imphal was started in the year 2006 it is a self financing nursing college for providing nursing education in manipur state of India. This co-educational school is situated at Meitei Langol, Lamphelpat and its area is comprised of 2.3702 acres. The academy is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) this makes the school deliver quality education in nursing. Shija Academy of Nursing currently has 17 faculty members and 114 students enrolment which offer the institution a unique opportunity to provide quality education in a focused area of nursing.

The institute affords many amenities to the students to help them academically as well as in other aspects of their lives. Students of both sexes acquire advantage in having their neat and comfortable hostel facilities for single sexes. The hostels are very large and well aerated which enhances the learning mood of the students and their general growth. The academy has a well endowed library with a capacity to contain more than forty students at a time with access to books, journals, and any other learning material. Some of the specialized teaching laboratories available at the institute for practical sessions are the; Nursing Arts Lab, Community Health Nursing Lab, Maternal & Child Health Lab, Nutrition Lab and computer Lab among others. These facilities help students gain experience that will enable them get positioned in their respective careers.

Shija Academy of Nursing currently offers one primary course, following course such as the General Nursing and Midwifery program. This is a three year full time course with an approved capacity for admitting 30 students. The GNM program has been developed to establish the trained nursing personnel with adequate competence in the healthcare system.
